Multiverse Room-Mates [closed to hashisreasons/forcefierce]

Kylo would like to point out that he gave his room-mates the illusion of privacy at least. Never mind that he could just read their thoughts as easily as he breathed, he did his best not to do such things because he knew it was rude. Or more to the point last time he did it, Matt had whined for three hours about how he was violating the terms of the room-mate agreement and he promised! It wasn't worth the head-ache.

Still, he at least tried to be a good room-mate. When he felt like it.

They were out, it had just been him in the flat when the Force Bond had flared to life. He was very grateful that he was showered and dressed this time; the last time it had happened when he was still only half awake and that had been a level of awkward with Rey that he hadn't really wanted to deal with.

Still, it had been just him, and it was nice. To be able to talk openly with her with no worry of anyone interrupting.

They needed more moments like that

Loki came home early, frowning as he shut the door behind him. He didn't know why he bothered. Everyone always asked him about Thor when he went out. Nobody seemed to care about him. Shaking his head, he made his way through the flat, grinning when he realized Matt wasn't there.

Maybe now he could get Kylo to do some magic with him.

As he came up to Kylo's door, he frowned. He'd even been about to knock when he heard Kylo talking to himself. He hesitated only a moment before he just barged right in.

"Are you really talking to yourself? Do you do this when we're not home?"

Loki blinked, turning to follow Kylo into the kitchen. His head tilted and he raised an eyebrow as he lingered in the doorway, watching him curiously. There was much to read in a person's body language and the things that they didn't say, some even more than their words.

"Okay..." He sighed, taking a deep breath and trying not to react. "Rey, who's Rey? Is that a girlfriend? When did you start dating?"

"Oh, Ray! Wait, Ray is a girl?" Loki blinked. He'd heard the stories, but he always thought Kylo had been fighting another man. The boy was so emo that he'd just assumed he was gay. He has a bit of a surprised look on his face as he nods his head and smiles. "Huh, okay. That's..."

He stops, staring. "Force bond..." He did remember Kylo talking about that. "I... I didn't realize."

He almost looked disappointed.

Rolling his eyes, Loki raised a hand and waved in front of him. The shards on the floor rose and slowly became a glass again, this time settling on the counter where Kylo couldn't break it. Stepping forward, Loki took Kylo's hand and began to make sure it wasn't cut. If it was, he'd heal it.

"Something troubles you," he murmured. "Do I have to step in and help?"

"You like her..." Loki crossed his arms over his chest, grinning as he watched Kylo react. The body language, the way his voice was getting higher pitched, they were all signs of his emotions. Loki smirked, trying not to laugh at the way Kylo was seething.

He was not afraid of Kylo. Far from it, he dared Kylo to try to use his little Force against his own powerful magic.

"Okay..." He frowned. "Why doesn't she want to tell people you're together. So, you tortured someone. Some people died. You would think the mother angle would be so good for you," he muttered more to himself than to Kylo. "I mean, there will be other villages." Loki didn't see anything wrong with anything Kylo said. Perhaps that was part of the problem.

"Who wouldn't want the galazy? Is she ill?"

In fairness, Loki would argue that Kylo never listened to him either. The only reason their other roommate was so good at hearing them both was because he had no powers and was boring. He needed them, craved subjugation if Loki had any say in it.

Most Misgardians did.

Loki rolled his eyes. They did not need to have another magic off. That never ended well.

He sighed. "So, show her? Take her flying. And I can make Dameron disappear. There's a realm that I know nobody would find him in." He doubted highly that Kylo would take him up on his offer, but he'd help if he could. Honestly, he's not sure what else he can do. "Hm... Sounds like she needs to learn a lesson."

Loki's eyes narrowed as he felt the Force pushing in his direction. He was only a dirty cheat because Kylo didn't play fair either. His head tilted to the side and he almost glared at Kylo.

"Do not start with my, Ren. You saw what happened last time." Loki raised his hand and pushed right back at Kylo, letting his magic attempt to budge the man. He didn't want to throw him against the wall, just make him wobble on his feet and make him realize he wasn't the only one here who was powerful.

"If you want my help, I will help you, but do not thrust your jealousy on me!"

"It's not like you had a do not disturb sign on your door?" He shook his head, staring at Kylo. "I will make any comments I want and you should take note of what is going through you. That feeling that you're feeling? It's jealousy. Envy. The feelings you don't want to face. Own them."

Not that he ever admitted to feeling those feelings, but he sure did use them when he needed to. If he wanted to find out what kind of effect his Force powers had on the Asgardian, pissing him off was not the path to that.

"Fine. Go speak to her. Forget I am even here," he growled. Loki turned and stomped out. And maybe, just maybe, the Asgardian had a little jealousy of his own towards the ungrateful woman in Kylo's life.

Loki rolled his eyes and kept walking out of the room. If Kylo wished to follow him, then he wouldn't complain. He wouldn't argue. He might even welcome it, not that he would push it either. "Of course, you're jealous," he muttered, shaking his head as if this was something Kylo should have known already. "You love her and you are jealous of him. He spends time with her when it should be you." He really wished Kylo would just let Loki deal with Dameron and make everything so much easier.

He had not had a chance to torture anyone in quite a while.

Why did the humans ever let themselves be party to such emotions. To let the feelings rule you instead of ruling others. It was madness, really. Heading into the living room, Loki flopped down on one of the sofas and made his phone appear magically out of nowhere. He was really tempted to see if someone would help him with the situation regardless of what Kylo said. Anything to make him less cranky.

"Maybe he should just try to reach out to her, see what happens. You can't practice your magic if you don't try," he muttered. After all, he learned some magic from his mother and then had flexed his own magic muscles after that. What he didn't know, he'd tried hard to learn himself.

"And I don't care what you say, you cannot convince me different." He raised an eyebrow at Kylo. "Can you properly define for me the difference between the Force and not magic? What about your powers makes it not magic? Because to me, magic is something you are born with, an innate power that you can control. Not everyone is gifted to wield magic or do things. You can. You are more powerful than you know," he grumbled.

Loki went back to staring at his phone. "It's a muscle memory. If you do not practice it or work at it, how ever are you going to improve your abilities? Take a moment and try to reach out to her first. Perhaps at a time when you know she should be alone?" Oh, he had a few thoughts on that, but if Kylo does it when he thinks that he might, Loki wants earplugs.

"So, have someone else torture him and then your hands are clean. She can't be angry at you if you have no involvement in the torture. Duh." Loki rolled his eyes and kept typing on his phone. "You are so transparent."

Loki was so glad there was no woman or man that he was twisted up about like Kylo was.

"Then you're doing it wrong. You should let me help you with it." He smirked up at Kylo. The Force allows. He never could understand that explanation. He had struggled with his magic at first, but his mother, Frigga, had showed him ways to work around that. Kylo just needed to work around the Force. "You don't understand your powers and that's what hinders you. There's something missing. I'd bet on it."

Loki wondered if there was a way that he could do it. He really did like a challenge. Perhaps if Kylo was with her when it happened. If he didn't let Kylo know know the details so he really could be surprised when he heard the news. Still, Kylo didn't lie well. He couldn't act surprised if he tried.

His eyes narrowed and he glared at Kylo. "Thor is in the frat house with his little Avenger brothers." Loki practically spat the words out with spit. "Why do you bring him up? Are you looking for a fight?"

"And you don't understand Asgardian magic, so we're even," Loki muttered, rolling his eyes as he did so. He turned to glance up at Kylo, giving him a look. Not that he wanted to comment on their magics at all. They never would agree on anything in terms of mediation. The other always had to be right. The end.

He sighed. "If you want me to help, I have to ask questions. If you don't want my help, then I won't ask." As if it was common sense and he should just come round to it by now.

"Fine. Do as you wish. I won't interfere."

let's start here?

There were times when Rey could not control the Force Bond. Which, mostly, was all of the time. It would flare up at the most awkward of moments. One minute, she'd be just reading or studying and the next minute he would be there, in her mind. She didn't want to admit that she liked it. Or how it felt talking to him. She was trying not to let the feelings she had for him grow.

It wasn't easy.

Kylo?

She called out his name softly, nervously, not even sure if he was awake or what he was doing. It was early, probably too early, but it was too late now. When the bond was on, she had to answer to it. She didn't know how not to.

Kylo...

While it didn't really make a difference, Rey quickly closed her eyes. Still, she could see him. A lot of him, in fact. She blushed, shaking her head and wishing to someone above that she had better timing. And she tried not to stare. She really was trying.

And failing.

You're busy. I should...

Should what? She frowned. Should go? Should turn it off? None of it sounded right to her. Mostly because none of it was right. It was all wrong. She swallowed, letting out a breath she'd been holding.

I'm interrupting you.
